Mission Time.

This post is going to be really real. I'm going to share with you my decision to go on a mission for my church. I have always thought about going. In the back of mind it was always something i wanted to do. I was really good at making up the excuse not to go though, really good. Here are a few, 1. I'll just go with my husband. 2. I'm too old (I'm 24). 3. I've been through too much they wouldn't let me go. 4. i'm dating someone and it could be marriage so I'll just wait and see what happens. etc. etc. There's more but we don't need to get into that...

Most of you know or now you will that my little brother is currently serving in China Hong Kong. He is a rockstar. For the last six months or so in probably every other letter I have gotten he has said Lindz you should go on a mission. Every time I either completely ignore him or write back telling him he is an idiot. My mom has done the same thing always asking lindz what about a mission? I would just get kinda bugged and say do you want me to come back an old maid and never get married? serious. i said that. Well a couple weeks ago I really started to think about it. Really. I was gchatting my bff Tiff and just straight up asked her should i go on a mission? i'm sure i threw her off but when i asked her i couldn't stop crying. We stopped chatting and I just went down into my room and I said a prayer about halfway through i said you know heavenly father this is probably a way dumb question but, should i go on a mission? I have NEVER in my life felt the spirit the way I did when I received my answer. I cried for a long time and knew that this was the next step in my life. For the last year I have felt so lost and confused and worried about what I was going to do next, where I was going to go, or who i was going to live with. This has been my answer all along. It's not about oh i wish i would have known earlier or that I had gone when I was 21 it's about me being ready right now at this exact moment in my life to serve the Lord! Right now! This is my time! I just want to serve. I'm so excited and for the first time in a very long time I am genuinely happy. When I talk about going on my mission I will either a. cry like a baby or b. smile from ear to ear. I am so thrilled! I wish everyone could feel the way I do right now!

Update on my call/papers. I have turned everything in except for my dental work which has been quite the bump in the road and go back on friday to make sure i don't have tb (what is tb anyways? i asked the nurse and she didn't even know) other than that I'm ready to go and should have everything turned in by sometime next week! Which means that I should get my call about 2 weeks after that! Crazy! I'm so excited to find out where I will be serving! Everyone keeps asking what if you go here or there? I'll go anywhere! Idaho, Temple Square (Jojo will probably stalk me like crazy though so i'm almost positive I won't go there), or China with my brother! i just want to serve! Take your guesses and I'll let you know as soon as I find out! I want to have a BBQ when I do receive my call and open it with all my close friends! if you will be in Utah you are invited! I would love for anyone and everyone to be there!

Sunshine.

Today I've been having what some people call, one of those days. Then about 15 minutes ago I had this startling thought, "why in the world am i sad? what do i honestly have to be sad about?" NOTHING. Sometimes you just need the reminder of the things in life that make you YOU :)

1. I LOVE the 4th of July

2. I really want my very own dog. Really. It will happen soon I can feel it.

3. I hate, hate, hate the snow. Can it be 90 everyday again? Please.

4. Friends. Ross, Mon, Rach, Chandler, Joey and Pheebs really know how to brighten my day.

5. I'm a morning person. I love getting up early and having my whole day ahead of me. Going to bed early is fantastic. Not saying I do either but I want to everyday.

6. Turkey sandwiches are my favorite. With those Chili chips you can only buy at costco. oh and a coke but you knew that already ;)

7. I can’t wink. I try so hard; I even hold down one eye and I just can’t do it! I have to find other ways to be seductive.

8. I really love any kind of fruit snack. I can eat a giant box of fruit by the foot from costco in a week or less. I like to think it's a talent.

9. I like my showers/baths to be almost scalding hot. Every time I get out my feet are bright red.

10. I get really clammy hands when I’m nervous. Ok, all the time.

11. I wish I were Ellen Degeneres, minus the lesbian thing.

12. I eat out regularly because it's easiest. I want to be an amazing cook. One day I will be just you wait.

13. I love to go on road trips. Real bonding experiences.

14. My family is my life. Thank you for moving to Utah.

15. I love Britney Spears.

16. I hate to make any sort of decision when it comes to picking somewhere to eat. I will always say whatever you want. Promise. Ok I hate making decisions in general. It's hardddddd.

17. I don't have any insurance. Please don't hurt me. Seriously.

18. My favorite tree car freshener is watermelon.

19. I am 2 Fast 2 Furious. Can't wait for Fast Five next week. I'm dressing up gold booty shorts and all.

20. I love ice cream. I wish I could pick a favorite but I love them all.

21. I love the beach. Laying in the hot sand is the very best.

22. When I was in high school I was running against myself in an election and decided to just tell a joke and I got booed. Yep. It really happened. Luckily I laugh every time I think of his moment.

23. I want to travel the world. Seriously, the whole entire world. My grandparents have done it TWICE. It is my goal.

24. My favorite color is pink. I really like all colors but if I had to choose it would definitely be pink.

25. I wish I could drink coca-cola like water. I love it that much.

26. I love candles. I have tons in my room and bathroom.

27. Third Eye Blind is my all time favorite band in the world. I saw them for the first time last summer and just about died.

28. J. Crew has put a spell on me and even somehow got me to get a credit card?! I know I should sue them or something! It's insane how much I love them.

29. Reading is something that will always make me happy. I have about 10 books on my nightstand ready to be devoured! Can't wait to dive right in!

30. Adventure is something I would like to do more of. I get confortable in a routine and need to just break out every now and then and do something wild!!

Well there's a short list of some of the things that make me Lindsay. Life is so great. I have everything to be grateful for. My grandpa used to sing this song to me every time I came over to visit him. He has passed away but every time I hear this I think of him. He was always so happy when we were together. I was his favorite grandchild but don't tell anyone ;)

so today while i was at work i realized something. i'm not even making any money? i spend it all on clothes. so they money i make goes straight back to the gap. gosh the are clever huh? they reel you in with the great job and the awesome discount and then you are in so much trouble because you sit and stare and the clothes all day so when you are off you think well i guess ill buy that i've been staring at it all day and folded it twenty times.

Ga ga oh la la

Holy Moly Guacamole. Seriously. I have never been so busy. I work everyday well not EVERY day but close enough. I love it. I love having a job and working the only downfall, my social life. It is non existent at the moment. I am so tired by the time I'm off there is no way I'm doing anything but going home and watching a movie and eating. Speaking of eating mall food is disgusting. The only thing I eat is subway and you can't do that everyday so I'll branch out and get panda or hot dog on a stick (i know, i know). It's disgusting. I wish it was warm so I could run or do something to make myself feel better. It just sits there in my stomach and I swear when I get the cheese on a stick the cheese it never leaves my stomach...

Last night my boss and bestie Jordan and I went to Lady Gaga. OMG. She is freaking crazy and I loved it. haha. Her outfits were to die for and she is just pure nutso. I tried to take pics on my phone but only one turned out of her and you can't even really see her. Oh well. One of my favorite nights. The whole concert was just one huge dance party. We wanted to dress up really bad but got the tickets super last minute and ended up going straight from work so we looked ready to go see Tay Swift in our button up shirts and jeans. It was awesome.

On a side note. I have read 4 books in the last month and none of them really impressed me. I mean they were entertaining for sure but nothing really past that. I wasn't left thinking about them after. I need some good books and am open to your suggestions. Help me find some good books!

Well back to my martha magazines. Gotta get creative :)

Oldies.

I miss this kid lots these days. These pictures are just classic. The last one has to be my favorite picture ever of Buddy. He is doing so well on his mission. His letters completely blow my mind. Life is really really good these days. I couldn't tell you why but I am extremely more joyful than I have been in such a long time. It's like radiating inside of me.

My job is going really well. I love it. I just went to CA for the presidents weekend. I go there a lot huh? haha. Well I love going home. It was a great weekend. Kristi and I just hung out and relaxed. No go go go just hanging out eating good food, my kind of weekend. Girlscout cookies galore! I wish those dang girls would get up here to Utah so I could place my order or something! What the heck! If anyone sees them I want samoas and tagalongs. Soo good!

So a couple weeks ago I caught bieber fever. No joke. Went to the movie with my sister and her friends and fell in love. I want him in my life. He is the cutest most talented thing in the whole entire world. I wish he was a little bit older or that I was a little bit younger. True love :)

Well back to all my recorded tv shows I have to catch up on. Off the map is really good if anyone is wondering. I still watch Grey's and Private Practice too. Shonda Rhimes is a genius.

Last Day.

Today is my last day being unemployed. It's a strange feeling. I'm excited to finally have a job. I'm just worried about Jojo. What is she going to do with me? I mean I wake up everyday around 10/10:30am, eat, watch something on tv, shower(if your lucky) and just hang out at home. She is surely going to miss having me around allll day everyday! Now I'm sure you are all dying to know what it is I will be doing for work.

GAP! I start tomorrow at 8 am. So gross but I am actually excited to have something to wake me up earlier. I oddly love having a schedule and getting up early. I know right now it may seem as if I am a night owl but I would prefer to go to bed early and wake up early. No joke. I love the morning! It's just so easy to stay up late these days.

On a side note I would love it to be spring/summer already. I hate being cold. Hate being cold. I look at pictures of summer and long for the warm summer sun! Freckles on my skin and shave ice in my hand. Oh man the list goes on and on. I'll stop now. The next time I post I will have a job! Oh my gosh! My parents must be so proud and excited for me to start paying them back the millions of dollars I owe them...
